We were back in Hebron today and John Harris got a call today from a family who were under attack. Their house is located between 2 settlements in Hebron, one of them is Kiryat Arba. By the time we managed to flag a taxi and get there the damage had already been done.
The family was coming back from a mosque and were in their yard when the settlers came over and attacked. Ironically, they were finishing up their prayers in the field and I guess after finishing they decided to attack these people.
By the time we got there there was a big crowd of angry Palestinians and a line of soldiers separating them from the settlers who were going back to their house. Pictures will be posted later.
Exactly what happened is still hazy, we know they came into the yard and pushed 3 kids around and beat up the dad so badly that an ambulance had to take him away. He was hit in the stomach.
One of the family members filmed the assault and I saw the footage. The settlers can be seen coming into the yard, sorrounding the people in their yard, and then shoving and kicking them. The woman who filmed the assault had rocks thrown at her so she dropped her camera.
I will share more details as they come in. Please pray for the family and the man in the hospital. Please also pray for the settlers, their hatred and violence is destroying them too, not only their victims. It has to stop.
